And that name shocks the world again.
It shocked many hearts.
It shocked the hearts of Malaysians, especially the ones who lived through the time when Sufiah was followed closely by both local and international medias.
Sufiah was a genius young lady who entered the Oxford University at the age of 13.
She was a Mathematics genius who was 'trained' and 'taught' under the hot-housing method, pioneered by her father, Farooq Yusof.

Sufiah with her father, Farooq Yusof and her sister at Oxford University.
Sadly, not all beautiful beginnings end in the same manner.
i have not the heart to mention what she have become.
Sufiah should have been a role-model to math-dumb persons like me.
Instead she became what 'most' parents would not want their kids to be.
Again, i do not have the heart to say it.
Now, many people are getting themselves busy with Kempen Selamatkan Sufiah (Save Sufiah Campaign).
At the time this post is being created, the latest news is 4,000 members of a Malaysian political party who are in UK were put on the effort to find and save Sufiah.
To me (and to many more Malaysians), these actions are a bit 'unfair' to the youths of Malaysia.
Or to be exact, Malay youths.
We have our hands filled with problems that are too much bugging our minds.
Mat rempits.
Addicts.
Sex harassment cases.
More addicts.
Youths who never get the chance to enter college.
Youths who never get the chance to enter college because of financial problems.
All (or mostly) involving the Malay youths.
i don't want to produce more hurting and sad facts.
Considering myself as a newcomer, and as one of the Malay youths.
i leave the hardcore to the experts.

First, she's British.
Second, she's beyond her 'legal' age. So if she decides to sell herself, it's her own choice.
So why do we need to bother? Just because her mom is a Malay and she's exceptionally good with number-crunching, doesn't mean we must keep on babysitting this prodigy. From my standpoint, it's not the 'saving' part that excites those people, it's the attention it generates. With homeland politics on turmoil and too many issues to tackle, a diversion is just what they need to conjure. That's all. If it's genuine, save her before she turned what she has become. Rumors about her has been curculating for a good while now, where are those people then, when it all started?
How many Malays have turned apostate in our own homeland? This is some of the 'real' issue, not Sufiah.
And add to your collection of other problems we are facing. It's not a good picture.
I've seen what a strict authoritarian family upbringing can do to a child. So, for Sufiah, it's just too bad. Take heed parents. And the 'would be' parents.
Like the string of a guitar, too slack, it will not play, too tense, it will snap. You need to listen and listen well.
To me, I hate Maths. Never liked it, never will. Why? Is it applicable to our daily life? Very little, if any. Else, it's just elementary maths. Nothing fancy.
I'd rather be street smart than book smart. For Sufiah (or whatever her name now), being book smart status has turned her street dumb. Let's pray for her to see the light on that dark street she choose to walk on.
